You will be picked up from your hotel at the scheduled time in the afternoon. You will be travelling to see Uluru, the famous red sandstone monolith, in the heart of the Australia’s "Red Centre". Your driver guide will be by your side, as you tour the base of Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock. Learn about Uluru’s importance to the Australian Aborigines, the numerous sacred sites and geographical features of Uluru from your knowledgeable guide.
Take the Kuniya Walk and reach the picturesque Mutitjulu Waterhole with your guide in tow. Enjoy a glimpse into Australia’s primitive history as you explore Aboriginal rock paintings, learn about the native flora, and the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru.
Later enjoy an informative visit to the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can enjoy a glimpse into the Aboriginal culture. Purchase some Aboriginal arts and crafts souvenirs to take back home. In the late afternoon, you will be taken to the Uluru sunset viewing area where you can behold the sun setting on the western horizon. Observe the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while sipping on a sparkling glass of wine and enjoying snacks.

Begin your day with breathtaking sunrise views from Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the sunrise viewing area. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as you watch Uluru gradually changing colour as the sun rises. The majestic sunset and sunrise views are what make the Ayers Rock, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After watching the sunrise, travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta and enjoy sweeping views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge, the shortest trail in Kata Tjuta with dramatic views of the sandstone domes.
Spend time exploring the gorge and the unique rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. After sightseeing, you will either be driven back to Ayers Rock resort or to the airport.

Luggage Allowance: One medium size suitcase per person, the sum of its length/width and depth not to exceed 140cm (56") plus one piece of hand luggage which may be carried on-board the coach. Maximum weight of all luggage must not exceed 20Kg (44lbs). AAT Kings are required by strict Government vehicle weight regulations to enforce and adhere to this limit.
Uluru Base Walk: A minimum of 1 litre of water is required for your walk at Uluru.
Kata Tjuta Walk: A minimum of 1.5 litres of water is required for your walk at Kata Tjuta.

Please bring your hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, weatherproof jacket, insect repellent, comfortable clothing, sturdy non-slip walking shoes, a bottle of water and camera.
