    Riding at a relaxed pace on a camel is the perfect way to explore the desert landscapes and catch breathtaking views of the mighty monolith of Uluru.

    As your soft-footed camel pads through the red dunes your cameleer guide will tell you about the wildlife of this harsh but beautiful terrain.

    This short, 45-minute tour is ideal for those who are pressed for time.

    For your Camel Express – Uluru experience you will be picked up from your hotel for a transfer to the Uluru Camel Farm.Please be at the hotel foyer and look for the Uluru Camel Tours bus. The driver will call the tour name, please present yourself to the driver, and provide your ticket or voucher. Please check the exact departure time of this tour the morning prior by calling your local activity operator.

    You will be provided with a camel riding disclaimer form during this journey, this must be completed and provided to the driver on arrival at the camel farm.

    At the Farm you will learn something about camels and the history of camels in rural Australia.These desert creatures are well suited to the hot, dry climate of Australia's interior. Imported in the 19th century, they were the main means of Outback transport until the development of railways and roads.

    You will meet your camel and climb aboard ready for the journey. Each animal will carry two guests.

    The camel ride lasts 45 minutes, with stops for photographs and explanations. Enjoy glorious views of Uluru and Kata-Tjuta.

    On return to Uluru Camel Farm you will have the opportunity to browse a unique range of camel souvenirs, or purchase soft drinks and snacks.

    At the end of the tour, the Uluru Camel Tours bus will transfer you back to your accommodation.

    Weight Guideline: Two guests travel per camel and your activity operator must be advised if any individual's weight exceeds 100kg.

    You will be required to sign a camel riding disclaimer form.

    Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.

    Additional info

    The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.We request you to wear sturdy shoes, casual clothing suitable for weather. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
