A once-in-a-lifetime experience, nature and art combine on the Field of Light. Here, a galaxy of colorful globes surrounds Australia’s most iconic landmark, the Uluru.
Created by English artist Bruce Munro, the Field of Light consists of 50,000 light bulbs covering an area equal to four football grounds. The exhibition, aptly named Tili Wiru Tjuta Nyakutjaku or ‘looking at lots of beautiful lights’ in the local Pitjantjatjara dialect, is the artist’s largest work to date.
Upgrade your tour to a Field of Light Star Pass to enjoy the spectacular sight from an exclusive viewing area, along with wine and an expert guide.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Uluru Resort at dusk. You will then be driven to a remote desert location overlooking a vast field and the stunning monolith of Uluru.
As darkness falls, witness artist Bruce Munro’s incredible artwork, the Field of Light come to life as 50,000 slender stems crowned with frosted glass spheres illuminate the field in front of the Uluru Rock. The stunning display lights up the outback under the starry sky – an image that you’ll never forget.
If you have chosen the upgraded Field of Light Star Pass, you will be taken to an exclusive elevated viewing area, where you will see the sunset over Uluru. See the large monolith turn from a dull-brown to sun-kissed ochre as the sun’s last rays fall.
After sunset, you will be served sparkling wine and canapés and watch as the colours light up the desert. Join an expert guide for a walk through the illuminated Field of Light exhibition. Your guide will provide some key insights and background of artist Bruce Munro, including what led him to create this spectacular light installation.
