An Aboriginal guide will conduct the tour and share the ways that the local Anangu community live in the hot desert climate. The plants and wildlife that grow in the park provide the local Aboriginal community with food, medicine and raw materials for both weapons and as decoration in ritual ceremonies.
Sample traditional bush tucker, learn how to grind native seeds and throw spears like the locals.
You will also learn about the different varieties of reptiles that inhabit this region.

Same as the start point
You will be picked up from your hotel in Ayers Rock Resort and driven to Kata Tjuta National Park.
At the park, you will meet your guide belonging to the local Anangu community. He will take you into the outback bush environment and explain the importance of traditional bush food to the local Aboriginal community.
As you walk through the rugged desert plains of the park, you will learn how the local people survived the adverse desert conditions with a diet of bush seeds and native animals.
During the course of the tour, you will learn to grind native seeds and throw a spear by the Aboriginals during hunting. You will also taste a selection of bush food.
You will also get up close and personal with the unique reptiles found in Kata Tjuta National Park. The guide will tell you all about these small and spiky reptiles that call Australia’s Red Centre home.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Ayers Rock Resort.

The entrance fee (AUD25) to Kata Tjuta National Park is a government charge and is not included in the tour price. It must be paid on the day of the tour.
